Beer Around the World: What Do People Drink Where?

It all started when they both decided to take a chance and reach out to each other through a pen pal service. After months of exchanging letters, they found themselves at the same bar hundreds of miles away from their hometowns.

As one of them lifted his glass of beer, he asked with a smile, “Beer Around the World: What Do People Drink Where?” They had been pen pals for so long and now here they were, sharing stories and swapping drinks between sips.

He went on to tell her about how in some countries it’s popular to drink corn beer or sorghum beer – something completely foreign to him. From his travels around Europe, he’d experienced different types of beer than what was typically used back home. He told her about how tiny pubs in England served up their own special stouts and ales that were full of flavor.

She shared stories about culture in South America and the different beverages made from local fruits like guava juice or passion fruit juice that could leave your entire mouth tingling from sweetness after just one sip. She talked about her explorations into India and discovered local lagers made with rice or barley – an entirely new flavor experience unlike anything else.

The night continued on as they freely shared more stories and laughs over a few drinks throughout the evening, more than happy to have run into each other by chance at this bar. It was almost as if fate had brought these two former pen pals together again.
